Olympic Weightlifting

Olympic Weightlifting is a sport in which the maximum single lift is established over three attempts. This is achieved using two lifts- the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk- and the amount lifted is combined to produce the highest total.

Olympic Weightlifting tests aspects of human ballistic limits (explosive strength) and are therefore executed faster, with more mobility and a greater range of motion than other lifts. Properly executed, the Olympic lifts are the most powerful thing a human can do. CrossFit uses these lifts to train explosive and functional strength/power.
