A bit about Dan
If you could have a superpower:
I’d definitely want to be able to fly around. It would make the morning commute so much better!
Specialist topic:
I’m a huge Game of Thrones so I like to think I’ve got a lot of useless information that will one day be useful!
Go to coffee order:
Right now I’m really enjoying a cortado. I’ve moved away from the flat white and this really hits the spot. If you’re in the City, you have to drop into Rosslyn. It’s hands down the best coffee!
Item of food can’t live without:
I have an irrational fear that M&S will discontinue Percy pigs! That being said, I couldn’t live without peanut butter. I put it on almost everything!
I found CrossFit by chance! I was watching ESPN and the 2014 Crossfit games were on and I was in utter shock as to what was going on! I was also hooked! I started trying to copy some movements I’d see on TV, in my local gym and it felt a lot more fun than the boring exercise routine I’d been doing up to that point. I first went down and experienced the ‘box’ atmosphere in 2016 and I knew from then that it was something I wanted to be a part of, even if I was mildly terrified. The community, the workouts, the atmosphere, I was all in.
I became a coach because I had a deep desire to leave the world better than I found it, and to unlock human potential. Group exercise has improved my life in so many ways. I firmly believe that if you make individuals feel seen, heard, understood and supported, that you’ll ultimately give them the space to be the best versions of themselves. I also think that meaningful human connection is at the core of a human’s purpose. I wanted the opportunity to help people develop physically, mentally and emotionally, and CrossFit gave me an avenue to be a force for change. I get excited to give each and every member that walks through the door, the best hour of their day.
