Olympic weightlifting is a very technical sport. It takes time to gain confidence and refine your technique. In the sport of CrossFit we often introduce olympic weightlifting movements into our workouts, always with relative intensity. The best place to learn how to weight lift safely and efficiently is in this specific class. Like with everything, the more you practise, the more natural the movements will feel. There are two Olympic lifts, the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk, which are focused on in the classes. Your coach will take you through drills and technical practise on an individual basis to help your rate of learning.
