I was introduced to CrossFit after a stint as a road cyclist, where I developed great aerobic capacity but terrible core and upper body strength. I was immediately captivated by the intensity and mental challenge of CrossFit, and after a few years of training I decided to have a crack at coaching while finishing off my final year at university. The rest is history!
I love coaching because I’m fundamentally a people person, and I relish having the chance to help others improve themselves. The best parts of the job are watching people get fitter, starting to enjoy working out, and those little moments when people finally crack a challenging movement they’ve been stuck on.
Coaching encompasses many different challenges and opportunities, and every day I get the chance to coach others in movement, nutrition, and improving their lifestyle choices.
